Ósemka get off to a losing start for the season, but take positive thoughts into their next game by taking a set off Powerball, and nearly forcing a fifth set tie-break. The team had one or two new faces, and as always, need a bit of time to gel together.

Lionhearts 2 vs K S Ósemka
0 - 3 (20-25 15-25 23-25)

A return to winning ways which seems to have eluded Ósemka for a while, recently. A weakened opposition gave the team a chance to experiment in the third set, which ended up with everyone playing nearly everywhere and nearly cost the team the set - an experiment not to be repeated.

K S Ósemka vs Polonia Benedicts
0 - 3 (21-25 13-25 14-25)

This was the teams most testing match against Polish rivals Polonia, and Ósemka started the first set well, opening up a 6 point lead at one stage, but poor reception allowed Polonia to edge the set. Ósemka then seemed to lose concentration, and could not reproduce the form of the first set which allowed Polonia to gain many points through Ósemka’s mistakes. Plenty of positives to take from the first set.

Inter vs K S Ósemka
0 - 3 (18-25 18-25 17-25)

Ósemka back to winning ways with a chilling performance against Inter. This was the kind of performance the team needs to put in every week, which will then no doubt leave us challenging for the title. All players gave their all in every department, with superb first balls into the setter which allowed the team to produce some great volleyball. More action like this guys, please...

K S Ósemka vs Tuskers
3 - 0 (25-21 29-27 25-22)

Ósemka finish off a fine week with another straight sets win, though the performance of the team was not up to par. The team had to work very hard for this win and this is reflected in the scoreline. Ósemka showed signs of last week’s performance in the second set by saving three set points to win the set eventually 29-27. The third set was a sea-saw ride again but at 17-17, Ósemka stepped up a gear to take the set 25-22 and win the match, taking them to second position in the league.
